I spent the morning getting the electric and water and things turned on at the house. Water is getting turned on today and elec will be on tomorrow morning at 9am. Now to try to find a good deal on internet, phone and cable like I have now. I am using Comcast now and I hate to have to stop using it. It is a great price and I've never had any problems with them. The services in Mt. Airy are more costly and I can't find as good of a deal as I have with Comcast. But my mortgage is only half of what I was paying in rent, so it's all good! :)
I was reading up on some info on the new town I'm moving to and thought I would post a few pictures I found on the internet.
Here is the visitors center on Main St. in case you need any info about the little town. I say little because the population is around 8500. Just wow. It sure is nothing like Atlanta!
Mt. Airy was incorporated in 1885.

The above picture is Snappy's restaurant. I have never ate there, but it is on my list of first things to do. I guess it is from the Andy Griffith show? There was a Snappys restaurant on the show? I need to brush up on my Andy Griffith show skills if I'm gonna live in Mayberry!
Here is a photo of The Autumn leaves festival they have every year. I missed it this year and was so upset. They have collard green sandwiches! Can you believe I missed that!!!
I always see these buggies around town and people riding on them, I guess they do this pretty regularly. I've never lived in a town where this is the norm. I feel like I am traveling back in time. Ha!
The area is know for its vineyards. I can't wait to go to some and get some nice wine.
Once I get moved into my new place and get settled some, I will go around and take a bunch of pics of this quaint little town to post. It is very charming and I know this is going to really feel like home here.
