I've been looking for the past couple of months for a dining table and chairs for my patio with no luck. Once again, living in a small town makes me feel like my hands are tied. There just aren't a lot of options here. The closest thing I have found that I even half way like is a set from Lowes.
Last night I bought a couple of lounge chairs and a tiny side table for my patio, at least until I can get some proper seating, it's better than sitting on the floor. Also got a small grill until I can find the right kind of gas grill I'm looking for. It's nice to have both on hand :) The little flowers on the side rail are new, too.
I've always been fond of this beautiful set from Pottery Barn.
It's real wood and I'm not sure how that would hold up to the snow and such in the winter. I won't be storing it inside or anything, so what I get needs to be something that can stay outside all year. I also don't have a cover over my patio, so it needs to be something that can really hold up to the elements.
This is why I was considering this set from Lowe's. It's similar, but it is made out of aluminum. I'm not a big fan of faux wood, but in this case, I'm wondering if it would be the better option for me? I couldn't find a larger pic, but this is to give an idea. You can also buy an umbrella for it, which I would definitely do since I don't have a cover.
Any other patio sets that you think would be nice for this small area, please let me know. I was even thinking of getting the classic picnic table, do those come with holes to put an umbrella? Guess I could drill one :)

Oh, I really like the aluminum set from Lowe's. I, too, was eyeing wood for an outdoor patio set but am deciding against it because of the outdoor weather. Although we are lucky and have a shed in the back to store the furniture for the snow in the winter, I just think real wood would be alot of work to keepup and keep looking nice (especially if it's painted wood). And I'm lazy like that. Sooo.. I'm a big fan of that set you found at Lowe's. I wonder if they have a smaller bistro set in the same style? Hmmm. :)

OMGoodness!! I can not believe you posted the picture from lows...Todd and I picked that exact table and chairs out for our Patio !!!
What a great observation, if you don't have a cover or not even willing to have one, it is advisable for you to choose the aluminum one.
