Picture from yesterday.
I finally was able to go pick up the picnic table from a friend, I'm going to paint it white.
To look sort of like these from this post.
Hopefully I can get this done soon and will post the results. There's a black stain on it if you can see. It's sort of like an oil has been burned into the top. I tried scraping it, sanding it, and washing it with dish detergent, but still can't get the oily stain off. Anyone have any ideas how I can remove this?

Maybe try dumping a bag of kitty litter on the stain (leave on for a week) to see if it will draw it out. Works on driveways...might on a picnic table??
Maybe if you prime the top with Kilz or Bin first it won't bleed through?
Good luck!
Kitty litter, that is interesting, I would never have thought of that!
I'm worried it's even too greasy for the primer to stick, I'm going to keep working with it though, it needs a paint job really bad.
