The Glass Castle

Here is what I'm reading right now.  The Glass Castle, by Jeannette Walls. I just started the book a couple of days ago. I can't say what chapter I'm on because the book doesn't have any chapters.  I'm at the beginning stages though.  It seems to be a good book, so far the parents seem to be a little *off*.  I'll give a review when I'm done.
No spoilers, please!

Have you read any good books lately? What are you reading now?

I'm not working on any projects around the house right now, taking a little break. I took some pics of my fireplace yesterday, but they came out underexposed, so I'll try again today when the afternoon light is in the room.

I'm reading The Glass Castle right now, too. I am really enjoying it. I can't wait to see what we think of it when we're done! :)

I have enjoyed following your progress on your sweet little nest, love everything you do. My mom is originally from a little town outside of Salisbury, N.C. called Cooleemee, ever heard of it? Her 2nd cousin is Elizabeth Dole and mama remembers spending many fun hours playing with Elizabeth at her home in Salisbury. N.C. holds a special place in our family's heart, a lovely state.

Judy,
I've never heard of Cooleemee, but I'm not real familiar with a lot of places since I'm new to the area. I just moved to Mt. Airy in November of 2009. It's a charming little town and I hope to spend many years here.

That's one of my favorite books. Heartbreaking in some places but wonderful. Halfbroke Horses is the newest one, about her grandmother. I read it earlier this summer and highly recommend it.

My book club is reading The Help right now. So far I'm enjoying it! But I have a long way to go....
