Wall Basket

Day 22

Guest room wall.

I sat in the guest room last night just looking at the armoire and trying to figure out what I want to do with it. I may start over and give it sort of a look  like this.  They painted the armoire black first, then brushed a pale gray on top of it.

Love the wall basket! How did you hang it? I have a similar one and I can't figure out how to hang it. I love the basket in your living room too!

I love the basket too! What about rubbing some dark wood stain over the blue and wiping off, just to warm it up a bit?

Sandy, Thanks. I used a standard picture hanger to hang the basket.

Melanie, I have some dark antiquing glaze that I tried to rub on it and it didn't look right. Maybe I can keep playing around with it. Thanks for the tip!

Wall baskets are gorgeous. I love that look! And it looks perfect in between your windows.

I also love the finish on that inspiration armoire you found. I think something similar in your room would look great!

Hey Jolie! I know what you mean! I'm looking for a buffet hutch to redo and looking at one tonight form craigslist.

What colors would you recommend to redo/update this piece? I think it has the lines I can work with and not too country. I've got an empty room that I'd like a piece like this with a couple of chairs, coffee table and lamp. The room is a walk thru from the foyer to the family room. It's a weird layout. Any tips are welcomed. Picked up paint colors for the bedroom yesterday....you've got me into the redoing spirit! Thanks

Hey Sherry, How have you been? Is this the room that is on the other side of the kitchen? The room you had your Christmas tree in that year I was there? It's a cute space.
What is your color scheme for this room? Do you have one planned out yet?

My first instinct is to paint it white of course. Something clean and fresh looking like this.

Or you could go the opposite extreme and paint it black, maybe a distressed black like the hutch at the very bottom of this page.

And I think this one is really pretty if you want some bold color in the room.

Let me know if you need more help, I love decorating!

I really like your window treatments! I'm in the market for a similar look (bamboo roman shades with white drapes). May I ask where you got yours? I'm not sure where to look!
