Spring Mantle for a new year

I can't believe I'm decorating my mantle for Spring again! The time goes by so fast, but I love being able to be creative with each season to do something different with my home. The mantle is one of my favorite things to decorate. If I ever move and don't have a mantle, I will miss it so much!

All I did was go out and buy some tulips! Nothing freshens a room the way flowers do. 

I didn't go all out or anything, I just wanting something simplistic.

I used my chalk board I made, candles I already had and some artichoke tea lights I got from Ebay.

I threw a green throw blanket over my chair and added an old pineapple pillow I had.

Put some yellow tulips in my Ikea vase and purchased some pillow covers from Pottery Barn for another dash of color. I am still looking for some new curtains, too!

The flowers are blooming like crazy outside everywhere, the green on the trees are coming back and so is everyones grass. I have heard everyones lawnmowers start back up the past week and that smell of cut grass in the air. Beautiful breezes so perfect for open windows. We even had a couple of warm days that got all the way up to 80 degrees. Aaahhhh  It's cooled back off again though.

I love spring so much, it makes you feel like  you are coming to life again, so I love the quote I found to write on my chalk board for the new season...
