I love you forever, dad

In Memory of my loving Dad
"Bud"
1944-2012

My dad passed away August 7th, 2012. He had been struggling with cancer since 2007. Those who have been following my blog know that my dad has always been a huge part of my life. The loss I feel is tremendous, but my gain is even more tremendous for getting to have had him in my life. I would not be the person I am today if it were not for my dad

I love him more than words can ever say and that love will live on inside my heart forever. There is no good-bye, for I will see him again one day.

You probably remember me posting some pics of him as he was helping me fix up my house I just bought a few years ago. (By the way, my house sold.)  He did so much work in it, from putting in the beautiful butcher block counter tops,  adding beautiful french doors,  making a mantle for the fireplace, not to mention the tons of other things he did around the house. He would have moved the moon for me if I would have asked him to. He always cared about my happiness and was there for me no matter what.

I know he is no longer suffering and he's with the Lord as the angels are singing and rejoicing.

I will make another post with pics of him when I'm able to get around to scanning some old photographs. I just wanted to let everyone know about his passing and eventually I will get back to blogging again.

Thank you to my devoted followers and for your encouraging words and prayers, it makes me happy to know you are there for me, even though some of us have never met IRL.

God bless.

Jolie, I don't know you, but I will pray for peace for you and your family. It's so wonderful that you and your father had opportunities to work on projects together, and that he was so passionate about helping you even when he was sick. I'm sure he reminds many of us of our own fathers, and our hearts go out to you a little bit more because of that. He's watching over you from Heaven and smiling. *hugs*

What a blessing to have so many special memories! Not that it makes it any easier, but...

I always struggle with what to say at times like this and usually just end up giving the person a hug... so (((here's a virtual hug))). Praying for you!

Jolie, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. I lost my dad unexpectedly 6 months ago, so it pains me to see someone else go through this. It sounds like you had a wonderful relationship, and I'm sure all your good memories will be there to comfort you when you need them. I'm sure he appreciated what a dedicated daughter you were to him. You and your family are in my prayers.
