The Quiet Streets of Mount Airy

This is the quaint little town of Mount Airy, North Carolina where I've been living the past few years. The top photo is Main Street, one of my favorite places to go. It has so many adorable little shops, bakeries, restaurants, antique stores, etc.  The big clock is attached to the museum on Main Street and the water tower you can see from almost all over town. It's right across from the house that Andy Griffith grew up in.

I'll probably try to take a lot of pictures around town in the next couple of weeks, since it looks like a move south is in my future.   :)

Andy Griffith? How neat! I kinda miss that show, people actually caring about their neighbors & trying to help others... they do nothing but the 'shock value' thing on tv, now, & I've just about had my fill of it!

So sorry you're having to move, unless that's what you want, then I'm happy for you... everyone should be happy. God bless =)

I haven't been there in many many years. We used to live not far away in Virginia and we'd visit here when we went to Nags Head.
Still looks like a quaint little town.
I guess you and your Mom decided on Florida? :)

I remember well walking on this main street... lovely capture, the B&W gives it a vintage feel... Thank you for sharing on Weekly Top Shot #61!
