--X-- Barbed Wire --X--

Project 365 Continued

Day 64

I know I am only supposed to post 1 photo for each day, but I get carried away and end up liking more than one. The top two pictures are ones I took on the farm today. I got the idea for the barbed wire from this photo I found on the internet at She's Gone Country. I need to get creative and think up of my own ideas though, that is where it gets tricky I guess.

The photo below is when I went to the produce market today in Virginia.
I walked by these huge pumpkins and did a double take!
I've never seen pumpkins this big before, so I had to get a picture of this!
(Taken with my cell phone.)

Huge Pumpkins!

I didn't get one, not even sure what I would do with one this big.

Looking forward to tomorrows pics though,
it's like an adventure and I have no idea what I will
end up taking a picture of.

The Return of PROJECT 365

I had started a Project 365 a while back and stopped at day 62, never finishing it. I've been thinking about it lately that I would like to pick back up where I left off (I know that is probably breaking the rules), but I want to follow through on this. I think it's just something I would like to focus on right now and would love to start practicing with my photography again.

So for those who were following along with my project and for the new followers, I'm making this post to get back on track and post some pictures I just took for the project.

Day 63

Early Fall Leaf

These photos are of the creek here on the farm. This beautiful creek winds all throughout the farm and I love the sound of the rushing waters over the rocks. When I first walked down to the creek the first thing I noticed was the rushing water, so that was in the first shot. I was walking in the water in my rainboots and couldn't help but see this huge leaf in the water. You can't tell from the photo, but this leaf is huge! Then of course is the beautiful view with the mountains and hay rolls on the green pasture.

I also figured since I'm not purchasing a home anytime real soon, I don't have any decorating pics to show anyhow. (And Lisa I know you kept wanting me to finish this, so here is the continuation of the project for you)

Sunday Morning

I woke up early this morning to take out my dog and thought I would grab my camera on the way out. The mornings are just so beautiful here so I wanted to hold the moment in time as I walked around with Little Foot just soaking in the beauty all around us.

Have a Beautiful Sunday.

Memorial Photos - Dad

I put together this little collage of photos of my dad.

  • The one at the top left was his birthday.
  • Bottom left was also a birthday celebration.
  • The top center photo was of him doing what he loved to do best, farming on his tractor.
  • Bottom middle are the 3 of us together in his office, we all just happened to be wearing pink!
  • Far right photo is on Christmas day at my house, he was workin' the remote, another thing he loved to do.  :)

I have been looking through some of our old photos down in the basement and I can't find the ones I have been looking for. There were some photos of me when I was little with my dad that I can't find. There was one in particular of me sitting on his lap and I had dirt from head to toe on me because he had been letting me play outside in the dirt when my mom wasn't looking! haha  I will continue to look for them and try to post them eventually.

I did find this old photo of my dad and me when I was little.

We were at Fort Christmas in Christmas, Florida.

We were like the 3 Musketeers, always doing things together, just the 3 of us.
The photo below is one of my favorite pics of us all together.

He is definitely missed and has left a huge empty space in our lives.  Each day is still a challenge and still hard to believe he's not here with us.  There are such an abundance of memories, I will always feel him near me in my heart for the rest of my days, and that way, he is always with me.
