I've been out looking at houses almost every day since I've been down here in Florida. As most of you know I did put an offer on a little Spanish Bungalow that I really liked, but things didn't work out with that one.
This weekend I looked at a couple of houses and one of them was really unique, it had an atrium right in the center of it! I just had to post pictures of this so you can see how pretty it was. The above photo I took standing inside the atrium. You can see it from every room in the house, the house encircles it and there is no roof over that part of the house.
This photo above I'm standing in the living room, the sliding glass doors are behind me to go out into the beautiful screened patio and back yard.
This is looking at it from a bonus room (which would be perfect for a library), there are doors to the atrium from each room also.
I decided not to get this house because it was a little too above my budget and the house is really big and I felt like it just sort of swallowed me. As pretty as the atrium is, it is also a lot of work to take care of and just not sure I want to devote a lot of time toward it.
You would think it would be warm in the atrium area but it was actually cooler in there than the rest of the house, there is a breeze that comes in from the top somehow, felt so great.
Here's the front of the house, just your typical Florida home, but I do love that fat palm tree out front.
I've looked at many houses trying to find that perfect one and it seems there's
always at least one obstacle keeping me from purchasing it.
This is a big purchase and a huge decision, so I'm going to continue to take my time and look.
Hopefully I'm not making my Realtor go gray!
I have an appointment to go look at one today that is a fixer upper over in Merritt Island,
I will continue to keep you posted. :)

The house is neat and nice to visit. I like the carpet inside the house.
What a neat house! Sorry the other one didn't work out! It was really cute. My SIL lives in Merrit Island. She lives right on the river.
Just a note to let you know I've been praying as you house hunt. It's a big decision!
