House Stuff

Here are some birds that were in my yard today.  They looked so pretty out there! Poor scrawny little banana trees in the background. They have been very neglected, so I'm hoping they will start looking much better now that I had someone to get the weeds and shrubs all out from around them. It looked awful before. I counted 23 of them.

I've been trying to get my house ready to move into. Someone is in the process of fixing the sprinkler system so that sad grass can come back to life.  All of the weeds and shrubs have been removed from the yard. Someone is coming out Monday to fix the wiring in the house. My kitchen appliances are being delivered tomorrow.  Most of the appliances were broke so I had to replace them. I'm just getting basic white. I want an all white kitchen.

I've run into a little problem. The neighbors shed is backed up to my property line and it has a bees nest in the sub-flooring of it. I'm trying to work with her to try and get the bees removed. I can't have any more work done in my yard or have the fence put up until the bees get removed. Curve balls, gotta love 'em.

Things left to do on the house that I am hoping to be done in the next couple of months.

  1. Appliances delivered
  2. Porch light and doorbell installed
  3. Paint walls
  4. Fence up for Little Foot
  5. Fix garbage disposal
  6. Install counters
  7. Install back-splash
  8. Paint front door
  9. Paint cabinets in kitchen white
  10. Paint cabinets in master bath
  11. Mirror for master bath
  12. Paint guest bathroom
  13. Put up bamboo shades
  14. Put up drapes
  15. Electrician is replacing garage lighting, adding an outlet on back porch and fixing aluminum wiring throughout the whole house.
  16. Sprinklers working right
  17. Tile the family room floor
  18. Install storm door
That's all I can think of for now. I didn't realize the list was so long until I just typed it all out!
It's really a lot of fun, today I got excited because I started seeing some things start to come together. The appliances picked out, paint color picked out and a welcome mat! :)
